Supporting babies' physical development following Covid lockdowns
Aimed at age range 0 to 2 years old. EYFS practitioners in baby rooms, childminders, foster carers, managers of settings who care for children under 2 years old.
Research shows that Covid lockdowns have affected babies’ experiences in many ways, including their physical development.
We will be joined by an experienced health visitor during this session to discuss babies’ typical physical development.
There will be time to ask questions about babies’ physical milestones and what to do if you have concerns about young children’s development.
We will focus upon exploring practical ways to encourage the development of babies’ physical capabilities with the knowledge that all learning begins with the body and is linked to movement.
The course aims to:
- support practitioners to understand how to support babies’ physical development and what to do if you are worried about a baby’s development; - increase confidence in creating routines and environments for babies which allow them to thrive and meet their physical milestones, working alongside their families at home; - offer an opportunity to ask questions to an experienced health visitor about baby development.
