Course Description |
Aimed at EYFS practitioners working in nurseries, pre-schools and schools in the private, voluntary, independent and maintained sectors, childminders.
During this training we will focus on two year olds and their unique stage of development.
As a basis for supporting their whole development we will discuss the importance of:
- sensitive, responsive caregiving; - attuned, reciprocal interactions; - positive, secure attachments.
The course will also signpost practitioners to resources, research articles and information to further support professional development. |
Course Objectives |
The course aims to:
- develop practitioner awareness of how to become attuned to two year olds; - support practitioner confidence in creating an environment that meets the unique needs of two year olds; - enable practitioners to adapt provision in response to what they have noticed about their two year olds’ behaviours, play and development. |
