Overview This is a follow up workshop for foster carers who have previously attended the one day ‘An Introduction to Mindfulness for Foster carers and Adoptive parents’ or ‘Mindfulness Day 1’
This will be a fun and interactive workshop, we will be using different resources, all of which can be adapted for children and carers will take away hand-outs to enable them to feel confident within their homes to continue building on their Mindfulness practice.
Knowledge On successful completion of this course participants will: • Be able to Reflect on how they were able to embed Mindfulness into their daily lives • Have learnt and practised more Mindfulness activities to build upon what has been learnt already • Be confident in how to use the new activities with children and young people. • Gain an understanding of how our brains work and the science behind Mindfulness alongside updates on the Mindfulness in schools initiative across the country.
Skills On successful completion of this course participants will be able to: • Identify when it is appropriate to use Mindfulness effectively • Utilise Mindfulness on a daily basis • Understand how to take better care of themselves by being more Mindful
NOTE: Please bring a Yoga Mat or similar to lie on and a Blanket or similar to cover yourself with
