Business Managers / Early Years Practitioners / Governors / Headteachers / Managers
Aimed at early years and childcare managers, funding officers, business managers and governors.
Are you concerned about the sustainability of your setting? The landscape for early years and childcare has changed dramatically over years and those changes have left some providers struggling to make ends meet. This session will explore potential future policy direction, and provide an opportunity to think about your business model. We will share with you our experience of working nationally with the DfE, local authorities and providers over the last 20 years, what’s working and how can you make the most of a now complicated funding picture.
Led by Ann Van Dyke, Consultant, Hempsall's
The session aims to:
• consider the national picture - where we’ve been and what’s coming next; • consider your current business plan using a business planning cycle; • consider tools and resources developed by NDNA, PACEY and Childcare Works; • understand how Tax Free Childcare and other schemes that reduce the cost of childcare can support families to reduce their costs and support sustainability; • review existing delivery models to ensure they work for the setting and the families that use it; • review marketing strategies and explore the importance of clear and transparent information; • create a one-page plan setting out the next steps and actions to ensure continued success.
