This training is divided into two one hour sessions. Please commit to attending both parts of the training.
During this training we will focus upon what babies need in order to thrive. The sessions will be delivered online with supporting materials to read and watch afterwards. Topics covered will include:

It will outline effective observation and assessment practice to support young children’s learning, including making effective use of observation and assessment to inform planning for children’s learning and how to monitor children’s progress throughout the reception year. This is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage which requires providers to train all of their staff as outlined in paragraph 3.6. Our Safeguarding Children Partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (OSCP) requires that this training should be refreshed every two to three years.
The course will support all those working with children to build understanding and confidence in relation to safeguarding children from harm and know what to do and where to go if they have any concerns.
