Basic safeguarding training should be undertaken by all workers and volunteers who are in regular contact or have a period of intense but irregular contact with children and young people. This is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage which requires providers to train all of their staff as outlined in paragraph 3.6. Our Safeguarding Children Partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (OSCP) requires that this training should be refreshed every two to three years.
The course will support all those working with children to build understanding and confidence in relation to safeguarding children from harm and know what to do and where to go if they have any concerns.
There are 2 sessions between Monday 18 January 2021 and Monday 25 January 2021
