About this course
This 3-day course covers: • The nature of dyslexia • Phonology, reading and spelling • Memory • Mathematical challenges • Creating a positive classroom climate • Assessment and intervention programmes • Partnership with parents and pupils • Supporting literacy needs in the classroom • Exploration of resources to support children and young people with cognition and learning needs Specific session for those schools who wish to work towards the IDFS+ quality mark.
Refreshments will be available from 9.15am, the course will start at 9.30am. Lunch and resources will be provided. The cost covers up to two members of staff from the same school. It is essential that a senior leader is one of the members of staff attending the training sessions.

Please note that it may become necessary to run these sessions virtually via Microsoft Teams, this will depend upon the latest guidance from the government. Aimed at age range 2 to 4 year olds. EYFS practitioners in the private, voluntary and independent sectors, childminders and school based nurseries.
This course will encourage you to reflect on your provision and consider whether it enables children to experience curriculum content at greater depth.
We will provide you with ideas and inspiration on how to create an exciting and ambitious curriculum.
