About this course
The National Award for SEN Coordination is a postgraduate qualification, which is mandatory for teachers new to the role of SENCO and would be beneficial for experienced SENCOs. Other teachers in schools or Further Education settings may also be eligible to gain the qualification. The Award is offered through the South West Consortium consisting of the University of Exeter and Plymouth University, working in conjunction with the local authorities of BCP, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Plymouth and Somerset.
In addition to the six taught days there is a two-hour induction session to which headteachers/senior leaders are also invited.
There are 6 sessions between Thursday 30 September 2021 and Thursday 9 June 2022
