They provide a framework for systematic assessment of those who may be struggling with a range of social, emotional and behavioural issues in a school, alternative provision or community context. Its use will provide insights into what lies behind the difficulties, a guide to effective intervention, a structure for intervention programmes and the means to monitor and measure outcomes. | | FC21 - Attachment & Developmental Trauma Module 4: Reflect
| | Starts: | Wednesday 4 December 2019 09:30 to 14:30 | Code: FC21 | | | | Venue: | Wesley Buildings, Redruth, Wesley Street, Redruth, TR15 2EG | Map | | | | | About this course | Course Overview The Clinical Psychology & Therapy Service have completely redesigned their four attachment training's to incorporate the latest research/ theory and to embed developmental trauma into the modules. This module follows on from three previous modules which must be completed first.
Attachment & Developmental Trauma Module 4 helps participants understand how recovery from early adversity is supported by people making sense of what has happened to them and the impact this has had. It uses ideas from attachment and trauma (including shame and Dan Hughes’ PACE model) to demonstrate how early adversity impacts on people’s identity and how this is reflected through their behaviour and relationships. Module 4 supports participants to think about how they can help those they care for/ work with to develop more positive identities through the way they relate to them and help them make sense of their lives.
A crucial part of helping others process their life experiences is the ability to self-reflect. The training is experiential and interactive to encourage this. Facilitators will create a place of safety to do this, however participants will need to attend to their own emotional well-being throughout the day. | | | | | Course closed to new requests | Full Details | Print Course
