The course also explores the governance setting in Cornwall, who’s who, where to access support and, most importantly, will cover the three core responsibilities of governance. • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction • Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management of staff • Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent. Cost: No charge for local authority maintained schools or academies that have purchased the School Effectiveness Cornwall (SEC) SLA. Face to face session - £75.00 for those who have not purchased the SEC SLA. Zoom sessions - £60 for three sessions for those who have not purchased the SEC SLA. This course will provide a general overview of effective practice in meeting the needs of children in the early years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). It will cover current requirements with regards to legislation and the graduated response.
